Just another two whole days to go now before this year’s Festival!
Everything has been ticked off the list and lots of Hawaiian Flowery outfits have been seen in the Rye Area…..!
Don’t forget to download the big busk book under the Festival 2016 tab and bring your friends along to our Free Festival and help us support the Ukulele Kids Club UK !
Just to get you in the mood here are some piccies from last year ALOHA!
Only two weeks to go now and things are hotting up at festival HQ!
Although we have a larger number of seats than last year if you have any portable picnic chairs and or tables it would be a good idea to bring them to ensure you get seats. The grassed area in front of the stage will be set aside for seating on picnic blankets for people who want to bring them
There will be bar areas set up along with a gourmet food truck, wood fired pizza and an ice cream van, There will also be two ukulele stalls.
If you wanted to perform this year at the festival but we were full when you applied, don’t forget our open mic from about 6pm, you can register on arrival and it will run on a first come first served basis.
Also, just a reminder – if you are able to donate any preloved/new instruments/tuners to the Ukulele Kids Club UK bring them along on the day and we will make sure they get there and they know who donated them.
So Tune your Ukes, Dust off your Hawaiian outfits and get your satnav, map or whatever you use! ready to come and join us for a fun day and don’t forget to keep those fingers and toes crossed for sunny weather!
What a great time we had at Doddington Uke Fest on Saturday, We had sunshine right up until late afternoon and it was great sitting in the gardens at the George Inn. We really enjoyed watching all the other bands, it just goes to show how diverse the Ukulele is! A big thank you to Bob, Marianne and all at Doddington for arranging such a lovely day!
Check out our Facebook page for the video of our set!
If you are planning a day out this Saturday why not drop into the Doddington Ukulele Festival at The George Inn, Newnham, Kent. The event is being held to raise money for the Kent, Surrey and Sussex Air Ambulance and the Rye Ukulele Experiment Players will be playing their set at 1.40.
Fingers Crossed for lots of sunshine!
