Pig’s Can’t Fly, Pigs Can’t Swim, Wild Boar, Little Piggies and much, much more………………
What a great night at the Queens. Piggy themed songs, toy boars and little honking toys (or was that just Ken?) we turned the pub into pig paradise. Thanks to Jon and his staff for the baby Boar burgers and other tasty treats too.
It was good to get all the newer members along to join in, sorry you got sat at the back guys. Good too to give the various offshoots of the Rye Ukulele Experiment an opportunity to perform their specialities.
Ali Catt performed some superb solos, the Ukulele Ladies – with Justine, Pam and Heidi harmonised perfectly.
Mrs Hall’s Boys thrashed out some joyful jazz and Bob and the Good Old boys – featuring Bob Page finished off the evening with their own style of rock.
And last but not least we raised a lovely sum of money for the St Michael’s Hospice fund – so massive thanks to all.

We are all geared up for a great Piggy Performance on Tuesday 27th October at the Queens Head, Landgate, Rye. We’ll be kicking off at 7.30pm and the really exciting thing is that we have a number of new members looking forward to performing for the first time. Come along and support them please.
Our set will include all the usual favourites sprinkled with some Piggy themed songs and we will, of course, include our famous ‘Wild Boar’ number. Look out for specials from Mrs Hall’s Boys, The Ukulele Ladies, Ali Catt and not forgetting Bob’s good old boys.
It should be a good night.
Thanks to all the organisers at the Fairfest fundraiser yesterday for their hospitality. We had a super evening, as ever. Hope you raised loads of money!

Hi all, waiting to put a few words on about our brilliant Wittersham WI do last weekend but need some images – which I understand are on their way.
Meanwhile for all interested I have just uploaded four new songs into our book. I’ll tell me ma, The Wild Rover, Runaround Sue and At the Hop. Enjoy!
